@skewty

Thanks for the fix!

I could not reproduce the issue on GNOME wayland previously because I wasn't forcing Firefox to use wayland. Now I see that the --name flag does fix the issue (and using both --class and --name makes it work on Xorg and Wayland).

@symen I figured it out. You need to use "--name" parameter under Wayland for it to associate correctly.

It works for me with: "Exec=firefox-beta --name "Firefox Beta" %u"

@symen that didn't seem to help. I just downloaded the v71beta and it had the same issue. I installed Firefox Development from stable repo and it is working properly.

@skewty

I removed StartupNotify=true from the desktop file and it seems to work fine now. Let me know if this issue still occur on your end.

I am getting placeholders without icons showing up in Dash-to-Dock / Gnome Shell. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1588950

@UnicornsOnLSD, clean profile?

On any version above 70.0b6-1, Firefox crashes immediately. Am I the only one having this issue?

I generally use the default theme, but I could successfully switch to the dark theme from the "Customize" view. Maybe Firefox 68 now follows the system's dark mode setting by default ?

the dark theme is gone?

My bad, I updated the package in a hurry and forgot to update hashes and test the package. :/
