There is theodan's repo. If you want to use a repo, you should use his. About the source package, I'm building them using the firefox-kde-opensuse PKGBUILD. This PKGBUILD is only a convenience build to provide updates via AUR build helpers and simply unpacks and packs the original package prebuild by me.

It was not necessary to change the PKGBUILD to build the current version. As Theodan said, it is necessary to revert to an older version of rust. When you take a lot a the deps of firefox-kde-opensuse you will notice a rust dep. Instead of using the current 1.39 you should try using the 1.38.0 from the Archlinux Archive.

I noticed that the source itself is an Arch Linux binary package. Is it possible to set up a repo (with .db.tar.xz and .files.tar.xz) so we can add it to pacman rather than install it through AUR?

Do you build these by converting another distro's package, or from the AUR non-bin package? In the first case, it would be better to have the PKGBUILD do the conversion I think.

In the second case, did you need to modify the firefox-kde-opensuse AUR PKGBUILD to build these? I'm still unable to get it to build, and thaodan's repo hasn't updated it either.

Like @RemoteAdmin said, the new version (70.0.1-2) still can't fix the issue.

RemoteAdmin commented on 2019-11-17 15:02

@archieslove Sry, i'm currently not able to build it. Neither the 70.0.1-1 nor the 70.0.1-2 version. Hope there is a new version coming up soon fixing the errors

If you wanna install normal firefox (because this thing just doesn't work currently), but you also wanna keep your profile you need to:

1) Go to ~/.mozilla/firefox/<profile-name> 2) Open compatibility.ini 3) Remove LastVersion line

Thanks, waiting for it.
