This should probably be automatically built and updated when firefox-kde-opensuse gets updated, it seems right now its manually built and updated.

@test0 I'm using the PKGBUILD from firefox-kde-opensuse. If there are optimizations enabled, you will find them there.

test0 commented on 2019-03-14 20:02

Thank you for the builds. However, Firefox fails to start due to Illegal instruction. Do you use optimizations for specific arch?

Reading symbols from /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/firefox/ "/usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/firefox/": separate debug info file has no debug info Program received signal SIGILL, Illegal instruction. 0x00007ffff2d4fe15 in ?? () from /usr/lib/firefox/

@archieslove I'm currently building the new version. Will be available in about half a day.

Looks like it needs a rebuild after the new libvpx update.

@jan-l @Daenarii I advise you to bring this to the firefox-kde-opensuse package. I'm only building their PKGBUILD.

Daenarii commented on 2019-01-25 10:59

@jan-l I get the same problem too.

jan-l commented on 2019-01-22 18:31

Fails to run after the update to 64.0.2 with "Illegal instruction (core dumped)". gdb gives: Program received signal SIGILL, Illegal instruction. 0x00007ffff2606a97 in ?? () from /usr/lib/firefox/ The normal build of Firefox runs, so this isn't normal behavior. Is anyone else getting this?

@RemoteAdmin Your build installed and is running perfectly, that is once you solved my confusion. I guess it's a long time since I have needed to install a key that I forgot that such a tool didn't require root permission. Thanks for the patience.

RemoteAdmin commented on 2019-01-22 03:43

@Remontoire Well, the output of the command does sound good, but you are executing it with your root account. Normally you can't build packages with your root account. Instead you should import the gpg with the account your building with.

If you want to search for the key you have to append an 0x. Example:
