Could someone with the required access please make the necessary update in here?

Previous instructions did not work for everone, I'm assuming it is because I had the install cached and didn't realize it. So, with this new Firestorm update here is new instructions.

In console run: git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/firestorm-bin.git

Change directory to firestorm-bin

Insure the .desktop, .launcher, and .install files are present.

Edit PKGBUILD

Change pkgver to pkgver=7.2.3.80036

Change first b2sum to the following

9563b52db2b12945219168ba3d2e70d089b4ea2c2ce13d4e51224c33e65c039ff5bb2d297a767042d8b17e720691e52685cd47edc1372e3213afbae50048b946

Run makepkg -si

If you do not trust me, download the Firestorm for SL archive from offical sources and run the following command to confirm the hash I'm using as of 2/9/26: b2sum Phoenix-Firestorm-Releasex64_AVX2-7-2-3-80036.tar.xz

These directions should work for all future releases unless major changes to file naming or directory structure happens. The numbers after AVX2- are the version, just changes the dashes to dots when updating the version number in pkgver and be sure to update the first b2sum to the new hash.

Those pkgver lines are identical.

I want to point something out for people using this package:

Pacman is saying that dullahan_host is missing libcef.so. The library is included in the install and Firestorm seems to have no issue accessing it. I just wanted to point this out so new users won't think this error is critical, it's most likely meaningless.

Well I got the Firestrom up and running. @dix how did you get voice up and running?

I have installed the latest Release 7.1.13, and i don't crash on it, not one crash so far, which is a HUGE improvement, i kept crashing on the Beta's so that i had to go back to the older 6-version. I have big problems with sound though, what is the best setup in Arch for SL-sound? I use pipewire-pulse now, but the sound is bad in SL, It is good everywhere else, but SL is horrible.

For some reason, while running on EndeavourOS with the Arch Kernel version 6.12.8-arch1-1 (64-bit), the latest Firestorm-bin version has drastically reduced performance compared to the previous version. There is a lot of FPS stuttering and general latency issues, mainly when resuming window focus. My system runs a Ryzen 9 5900X, and a Nvidia 4070 Super with Nvidia Drivers, version 565.77. If there's any reason why this occurs, or any way I can offer more information to help, please let me know.

There is an issue with the LL shader files and mesa 23.3. It affects all SL viewers based on the official LL code (like Firestorm, Alchemy...). So if you are using a mesa driver (AMD or Intel), the viewer crashes while trying to load these files. Nvidia should be unaffected by this of course. Until there is a proper fix you can workaround this by downgrading mesa and related packages back to 1:24.2.7-1.
