Please add

depends=('libpanel' 'gtksourceview5')

to the PKGBUILD.

You might also add

conflicts=('fm-git')

since there are too many file manager projects with unfortunate naming issues...

@eboye git packages calculate an up-to-date version number on-the-fly when you build them based on the hash of the most recent commit in the git repo. The version number in the PKGBUILD uploaded to the AUR is just whatever commit hash the project was on when the PKGBUILD was created.

What's the deal with the version?

Even after installing 0.gf1da116f-1 it says it's on 0.g43a02891-1

0.g43a02891-1 => 0.gf1da116f-1

libpanel is a build dependency of this package
