Can't figure out why this extension is not working for me (when right-clicking on a folder I do not have the option to change the colour). I do have other python based nautilus extensions working though. Haven't figured out yet how to debug this (nothing is logged to journalctl at least). Can someone give me some pointers by any change?

python2-nautilus is a dependency of nautilus-compare, which is also a useful nautilus extension. However, you can simply have nautilus-compare run off python-nautilus (the python3 variant). See also my comment at AUR nautilus-compare.

You have python2-nautilus installed and this package requires python-nautilus... you can try if it also works with python2, but i'm not sure about that - just open the pkgbuild file and change the dependency to python2-nautilus.

Dependency issue:

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: folder-color-nautilus-bzr: installing python2-nautilus (1.2.1-2) breaks dependency 'python-nautilus'

Hi amenard,
must have been a temporary error in the repository. I tried it today and everything went fine! If the problem still exist, please tell me.

2016-12-29: Doesn't work anymore. I get the following:

bzr: ERROR: exceptions.TypeError: first argument must be string or compiled pattern

then a bunch of traceback then finally:

*** Bazaar has encountered an internal error. This probably indicates a
bug in Bazaar. You can help us fix it by filing a bug report at
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bzr/+filebug
including this traceback and a description of the problem.

Hi okki,

this package needs one of the as optional listed skins to work. You can set an skin with 'gnome-tweak-tool' or by creating ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini containing:

[Settings]
gtk-icon-theme-name = Numix

for, in this case, Numix skin.

I've tried the humanity-icons package but that did not work - so that was maybe your problem! It seems you will need humanitycolors-icon-theme but the AUR package for this is out of date. With Version 0.7 of folder-color you can use the vibrancy-color skin as well. So you could maybe try numix and vibrancy skin. Numix is working very well for me.

hello,

I installed the package, but even after nautilus -q or a reboot, I don't have any new entry in the context menu. If I launch nautilus from a terminal, I can't see any error that may be related to this extension.
