Desktop file is wrong, please change the Exec=AppRun --no-sandbox %U to Exec=fontbase --no-sandbox %U

File /usr/share/applications/fontbase.desktop

Also the package should be named fontbase-bin

Fontbase does not work with electron 14. Switched to electron 13 instead. Changed in /usr/bin/fontbase: exec electron13 /usr/share/fontbase/app/ $@

Fontbase attempts to run code with root privileges when started. That seems like some serious bad practice.

This seems to be an incompatibility with electron 12. Switched to electron 11 instead.

For some reason it no longer launches. I haven't used it in a week and now it just says Starting... in the tray. I tried editing the pkgbuild to install the newest version (2.14.0), but same issue. Launching the downloaded appimage from the website does work.

Looks like https works again.

The certificate of fontbase's download server is somehow expired. I have temporarily changed the download link to http.
