So this might be a configuration/setup issue on your side.

qtwebkit takes several hours to build, while qtwebkit-bin provides the same software in seconds. I would use the second as dependency.

Thank you, @anne, the PKGBUILD was a mess, sorry for that! ;) Fixed now.

makepkg failed because $_git was not defined. I added to PKGBUILD: _git=$pkgver but I suspect this isn't the best possible fix. It did enable me to compile the package, though.
