Validating source files with sha256sums... fotoxx-23.2-source.tar.gz ... Passed
fotoxx.patch ... FAILED ==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
If I updpkgsum I get errors about the patch

AFAIK no, but you should ask upstream to re-enable it.

Are there language packs? I can see on many web pages german menu but cannot find setting or language pack...

Upstream's website had a temporary problem. Should work again.

Just double-checked it: Shasum is correct.

In future, I recommend against bumping the pkgrel just to add new optional dependencies. This will trigger a rebuild for users with no discernible benefit to them of any kind.

It's perfectly acceptable to push an update to an AUR package that doesn't bump the the pkgver or pkgrel.

Hm, my PKGBUILD uses sha512sums, and these are correct.
