Try adding this to the cmake call in the PKGBUILD to get rid of the shiboken2 and PySide2 errors:

-DSHIBOKEN_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/include/shiboken2 \
-DSHIBOKEN_BINARY=/usr/bin/shiboken2 \
-DPYSIDE_INCLUDE_DIR=/usr/include/PySide2 \
-DPYSIDE_LIBRARY=/usr/lib/ \
-DPYSIDE_PYTHONPATH=/usr/lib/python3.7/site-packages/PySide2 \
-DPYSIDE_TYPESYSTEMS=/usr/share/PySide2/typesystems \

The cannot find -lpthreads error is a red herring. The real error is somewhere earlier in the log. In my case I'm getting:

shiboken2 not found.

PySide2 not found.

I have both packages installed pyside2 5.12.2-2, shiboken2 5.12.2-2..

Currently unable to build the package (/tmp/trizen-bb/freecad/src/FreeCAD/CMakeFiles/CMakeError.log):

Anyone else notice when they try to start FreeCAD 0.18.16093 that it crashes? I invoked from CLI and got this error: (Looks like a shiboken2 issue)

In the output of "makepkg" there is something strange:

... -- Found OCC: //include/opencascade (found version "..") -- -- Found OCE/OpenCASCADE version: .. -- -- OCE/OpenCASCADE include directory: //include/opencascade -- -- OCE/OpenCASCADE shared libraries directory: //lib ...

"//include/opencascade" doesn't exist, but "/usr/include/opencascade" does. So I made a symbolic link /include -> /usr/include and "freecad" compiles without problems. Why?

@gbs: This is the output of echo $PATH

I suppose I should probably make an alias for loading the openfoam stuff instead of always importing it in my bashrc.

It's compiling now. Thanks for the help!

zoidberg: I think I understand what is going on. Just to confirm, can you tell what is in your $PATH?

Anyway, a temporary workaround would be to export PATH=/usr/bin:$PATH before making the package.

zoidberg commented on 2019-03-16 12:20

@gbs: I've tried reinstalling opencascade from the repos, but the problem persists.

pacman -Qkk opencascade gives me

opencascade: 8636 total files, 0 altered files

I've also tried deleting the pkg and src directories that are created by makepkg, but it doesn't help.

The opencascade cmake file is here:

zoidberg: There is something wrong with your opencascade installation.

Can you try reinstalling from the repos, and if it persists, pasting the contents of /usr/lib/cmake/opencascade/OpenCASCADEConfig.cmake?

Edit: Also, can you try clearing your build directory first?

@gbs: I have the same error as Doxer and vlas. Here is the corresponding makepkg console output:

The other logs (CMakeError.log, CMakeOutput.log) are here:
