@sl1pkn07 thanks for the comment. In 2.5.0-4
CMAKE_SKIP_RPATH is now set, and according to the docs this also covers CMAKE_SKIP_INSTALL_RPATH
.
If I understand readelf's output correctly, the rpath was relative, which is why namcap didn't complain about it, as it allows $ORIGIN
rpaths.

Does anyone else use this package and want to maintain it? I switched to use my own FreeRDP Flatpak package, so while I'm still updating here the AUR packaging and building it, I'm not testing it anymore.

I decided to drop the mbedtls dependency and not follow community/freerdp as mbedtls is a community package that is less maintained than the core/openssl package, see release dates vs PKGBUILD commits.
It's now two weeks out of date, has an exiting CVE with a medium severity that was already fixed in the latest 2.16.6 release.
From what I could understand, it looks like the reason that freerdp supports using mbedtls is due to licensing. If mbedtls adds no additional capabilities then I see no reason to keep it.
