RESOLVED:

I resolved the problem by replacing mono-git by mono

--

original message:

I get the following error:

~/.cache/pacaur/fsharp/src/fsharp/src/fsharp/FSharp.Build-proto/FSharp.Build-proto.fsproj (default targets) ->
~/.cache/pacaur/fsharp/src/fsharp/src/FSharpSource.targets (CopyAndSubstituteTextFiles target) ->

~/.cache/pacaur/fsharp/src/fsharp/src/FSharpSource.targets: error : Command 'mono ~/.cache/pacaur/fsharp/src/fsharp/packages/FSharp.Compiler.Tools.4.1.5/tools/fsi.exe --exec "~/.cache/pacaur/fsharp/src/fsharp/src/scripts/subst.fsx" --in:"~/.cache/pacaur/fsharp/src/fsharp/src/fsharp/FSharp.Build/Microsoft.FSharp.Targets" --out:"~/.cache/pacaur/fsharp/src/fsharp/src/fsharp/FSharp.Build-proto/../../../Proto/net40/bin/Microsoft.FSharp-proto.targets" --pattern1:"{BuildSuffix}" --replacement1:"-proto" --pattern2:"" --replacement2:"" ' exited with code: 1.

I anonymized the error message by replacing "/home/username/" with "~/" I installed mono-git and msbuild-bin.

This builds for me if I install 'msbuild-stable' and set TERM=xterm.

Win8Error commented on 2018-04-02 20:07

Please can you update the package???

EDIT: With xterm all works fine.

Got a compilation error on mono 5.13.0 related to ambiguous 'StartsWith' method. Applying change from the commit linked to the following issue fixed the problem: https://github.com/mono/mono/issues/7805

qute commented on 2018-03-27 00:47

After installing mono-stable 5.10.1.15 I had to change the version (commit hash) in pkgbuild to 4.1.34 which is 662492595a63dffff8fac84939614743fd6d34f9. After that I was able to build fsharp and install it succesfully.

globalenemy commented on 2018-03-05 11:32

managed to build with added "TERM=xterm" to PKGBUILD

from: https://github.com/mono/mono/issues/6752 as doctorzeus sais, fixed next version.

For @SunDoctors issue see:

Error with mono C# compiler (mcs). Apparently it is going to be fixed in the next version but in the mean time running makepkg in xterm or a tty worked for me.
