Please do not post comments about the GUI not working because you didn't install the optional dependency needed to make the GUI work.
@goodgerster please add 'fslint-gui' to optdepends so users won't complain about missing GUI.

The break of the libffi.so.7 library can be solved installing https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/libffi7

OK this is a comment about kind of why not comment on why missing library, then it occurred to me you may not want another AUR dependency as an auto dependency for an AUR package ???
I installed pygtk for xampp to discover that the control panel that required it did not even do anything extra LOL
in this case, the aur notes you want pygtk, perhaps information enough!
what is perhaps questionable is saying that pygtk is optional, given the comments about it being the only interface to the package as installed.
The comments helped me anyway... but a newb to arch really, if you want to install an arch aur package, read the arch aur page eh!
perhaps lacking in some documentation of the quality of the arch wiki!
You could probably also install pygtk using pip

It is weird that this package only installs the GUI to path, and none of the CLI 'binaries' (they are actually bash scripts and well worth looking at), and yet the pygtk package is 'optional'. It seems that either the CLI scripts should be added to the path, or, indeed, the pygtk should be a non-optional dependency. As it is, the package is non-functional out of the box. You either have to install the AUR package 'pygtk', or you get mysterious messages about not being able to import gtk from the python2 GUI. Or you have to add the bash scripts to your path and use findup etc manually (which I prefer now that I know where they are). Hopefully, this explains what is going on to the next poor AUR user who falls into this trap. But to @goodgerster, I'd just add the pygtk to be non-optional to the package and silence the complaints.

Why should we not request pygtk
to be a dependency (not an optional dependency) when the package’s only binary is literally a GUI binary which requires pygtk
and is literally called fslint-gui
? Please move it from an optional dependency to a dependency.

Seems to be missing a dependency. When starting fslint-gui:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/fslint-gui", line 32, in <module> import gtk ImportError: No module named gtk
