$namcap fuse-emulator-1.1.1-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz fuse-emulator E: Files in /usr/share/icons/hicolor but no call to gtk-update-icon-cache or xdg-icon-resource to update the icon cache In this case, you should update the icon cache, e.g., https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GNOME_Package_Guidelines

Thanks four your input, much appreciated. With the icon I opted for /usr/share/icons which seems to be more universal. Otherwise I did what you suggested, thanks again.

I have some suggestions for PKGBUILD: * fuse-emulator 1.1.1 depends on libspectrum 1.1.0 * SDL provides joystick support. * Fuse do not install libraries, so --disable-static option is not needed. * There is a png file that could be removed and taken from the source tarball. AUR User Guidelines state: "The directory inside the tarball should contain a PKGBUILD, .AURINFO, any .install files, patches, etc. (absolutely no binaries)". See pastebin [1] for more details. I have also some suggestions for fuse-emulator.desktop: * Category "Application" is deprecated by freedesktop's Desktop Menu Specification [2]. * Usually Exec and Icon entries don't use an absolute path. * If Exec entry is extended with %f parameter, some desktop environments will list Fuse in the "Open with Application" list. * Name entry is too much generic, it should contain the aplication's name. * Comment entry should not duplicated with Name or GenericName. desktop-file-validate validate desktop entry files according to the Desktop Entry specification [3]. See pastebin [4] for more details. @SanskritFritz: Thanks. Added. I actually removed the extra CFLAG, as it now seems to compile even without it. Let me know if there's a problem, please.

Thanks for the new version. May I suggest to quote $srcdir and $pkgdir. Also could you make this change to leave default /etc/makepkg.conf CFLAGS intact: make CFLAGS=$CFLAGS -Wno-return-type

@SanskritFritz: Thanks. That's the new libpng. I added a small patch, with it it works for me.
