The current maintainer hasn't logged in since 2023-05-18, so it seems unlikely for them to return soon...

If you want to update to the newest version as of now (v3.2.1), you can edit the PKGBUILD yourself. The only values you should need to change are:

pkgver=3.2.1
sha512sums=('376babcecfd5b762221a379cbca0db148127ad7e29e9847771cc1b4b7d536d74de9a9389c769ad06376e1f0b59645edbf78469f83aef6433019308e1e9095e8f')

I'll try to update the aur package myself, might take a while to figure out tho...

Will this be updated to 3.2.0?

NebulaSurfer commented on 2023-03-01 15:24 (UTC)

@doubts It has been updated for 3.1.0

Will this package be upgraded to gb-studio 3.1 soon? I need it for some plugins that only run on 3.1.

I'm getting this error on both the bin and the git package

@noirscape base is not applicable to chroots; what you're speaking of is only applicable to the installed system. You should learn about chroots and why they're used; they're critical to clean building processes, especially for the AUR.

Regardless, the empty groups issue is stupid anyway; if you're not going to use the groups field there's no reason to leave it there to confuse AUR helpers.

@Neko-san: Both of these dependencies are assumed to be available by default (libarchive is a dependency of pacman, which is a dependency of the base package. tar is outright a dependency of the base package. base is always installed on Arch Linux).

@Rerunner @Doommsmatic @Neko-san: I cannot replicate the empty groups problem. What you are most likely experiencing is a parsing error from your AUR helper. Keep in mind that AUR helpers are not supported and you should familiarize yourself with the build process.

libarchive and tar also needs to be added to makedepends or else this won't build in a chroot

Neko-san commented on 2022-01-07 20:22 (UTC)

Why hasn't the empty group line been removed since at least early 2021?

Rerunner commented on 2022-01-07 01:40 (UTC)

I have the same problem as Doommsatic. Definitely remove that line.
