install.sh is smart enough to not run those commands inside PKGBUILD. At least, it will be once glib2-devel dependency is added to PKGBUILD.

Do you have any specific example of a command install.sh tries to run that shouldn't be run in PKGBUILD?

Needs following changes:

  • Update license string to spdx identifier
  • Remove "(set-gdm-theme,gnomeconf2gdm)" from description
  • Update pkgver() function to generate versions in #.r#.g# format.
  • Don't run the install script in package() function. It attempts to run commands that shouldn't be run in PKGBUILD.

git has been added to makedepends now

Just a heads up, this package wants makedepends=('git') to build successfully with makechrootpkg otherwise it'll throw an error and fail. Cheers!
