As said akspecs this version requires an Internet connexion (to communicate with primatelabs.com). One *can* run the 32-bit version on an a x86_64 Arch, as much as the system has lib32-glibc & lib32-gcc-libs from 'multilib'.

@HalJordan: finally done

I'm apparently a few months late, but I like that idea. I'd advise you mention that in the description of both to avoid people flagging geekbench2 out of date on a regular basis.

anyone likes the idea of renaming this pkgbuild to geekbench227 as this is the last version that shows the results locally - without involuntary upload to geekbench site and bumping the "geekbench" to the latest version?

@Neschur: you did read my previous comment, right?

seems like a valid argument to stick to this version (and not update this pkgbuild)

Actually - interestingly enough it seems as if 2.3.1 only makes geekbench inconvinient to use. It disallows any usage if offline because we are most likely to use the "32 bit" trial benchmark, and requires usage of the paid version of the tool for off line benchmarks. So 2.2.7 is the only last reasonable version to use. If in the past you used geekbench --benchmark --no-upload --export-html file.html or /opt/geekbench/geekbench_x86_32 " " that is no longer possible in the new version. All results are automatically uploaded to their server and no usage offline is possible unlesss I am mistaken.
