The issue with my existing installation of 2.9.3 from Extra was that it was executed from /usr/local/bin rather than /usr/bin So that fixed that problem.

And building geeqie-git using the nocheck flag fixed the build problem. Thanks.

@cotton I don't see a 2.9.3 tag in the repo. Here are a few things to try:

  • Build in clean chroot.
  • Disable check: extra-x86_64-build -- -- --nocheck
  • Provide info about build method and logs in a pastebin so I can see what is failing.

2.9.3 now gives the following although was working fine recently: geeqie: error while loading shared libraries: libjxl.so.0.11: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

And can't build the latest version - fails on the final checks.

Looks like upstream is changing their build system and clearing out old deps, so expect occasional build failures until things settle.
