The fix is pretty simple – add the following line into the package() function just before the "make install":
install -d -m755 "$pkgdir"/usr/share/doc/geeqie-1.0/html

I know about this issue. The geeqie binary was built successfully. But error with doc installations.

This PKGBUILD fails to install, but the problem seems to be in the Makefiles from git.
Here are the relevant messages
make install-data-hook

Thanks, Zuf, for uploading this PKGBUILD. I didn't have time to create the package myself. As a gift, I've merged the votes from geeqie-svn to your package.
Just one note: use git as a makedepends, it's not needed at runtime.
