I am getting the same error like @gkjarch with the new update.
I have also deinstalled the package but trying to reinstall leads to the same error as @gkjarch describes.
Tried yaourt and trizen now from my homefolder...
I have access to /tmp where the packages are build... so... ???

UPDATE: Seems to be a strange bug with AUR helpers. I have build the package without problems right now using makepgk:

git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/genymotion.git
cd genymotion
makepkg -si

I don't get these errors, maybe you are building the package at some directory where you don't have some permissions.

Hi I have a problem about genymotion. I am using Nvidia GT 420 graphic card. When i run genymotion in terminal this problem occured : player: async.c:463: redisProcessCallbacks: Assertion `(c->flags & 0x20 || c->flags & 0x40)' failed. Anybody can help? Nvidia390xx driver installed on the system.

@hellraise007 - I'm having the same issue, kernel spits out this error as the player crashes:

player[10227]: segfault at 7c ip 00007fbde972af1a sp 00007fbd7d8dc1a0 error 4 in i965_dri.so[7fbde9577000+8a4000]

Must be an Intel graphic driver issue for me.
