Dont run:

Can't get it to work. I tried the manual install and I still get:

Logging activities to file: /home/matias/.Genymobile/genymotion.log
2024-01-04T11:25:07+01:00 [genymotion:246516] [fatal] This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Available platform plugins are: xcb.

Aborted (core dumped)

EDIT: got it working with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb genymotion

Hey @sbeve72,

Just tried an install and it worked okay.

Can you try a manual install?

git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/genymotion.git
cd genymotion
makepkg -sif

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks @kevku. Ran chroot build and namcap and yep:

genymotion W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('qt5-websockets')
genymotion W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('openssl-1.1')
genymotion W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('qt5-svg')
genymotion W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('ffmpeg4.4')
genymotion W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('qt5-multimedia')
genymotion W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('qt5-quickcontrols2')
genymotion W: Dependency included, but may not be needed ('qt5-location')

Will update the pkg shortly.

this package includes shared libraries so the depends like qt5, gtk, ffmpeg, openssl-1.1 are not needed.

@r3f looks like you're using an AUR helper (if so, which one?).

Suggest try installing without an AUR helper, e.g.:

git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/genymotion.git
cd genymotion
makepkg -sif

I also tested it with yay and it installed without issue.

Hey all, seems the defined deps were a bit out of date. I've updated deps to what they currently should be. Please update and check everything works and report any issues here.

@ssnailz, try do yay -S genymotion now.
