could you please post the whole thing? if i just create the links i still run into a conflict: giflib4: /usr/include/gif_lib.h exists in filesystem

Adding `ln -s giflib4/libgif.so.4.1.7 $pkgdir/usr/lib/libgif.so.4.1.7 ; ln -s giflib4/libgif.so.4.1.7 $pkgdir/usr/lib/libgif.so.4` to the end of the `package` function will allow dependents to bind the shared object without requiring a patch (which forces the linker to check `$PREFIX/lib/giflib4` for `libgif.so.4`).
