@FabioLolix, sorry you are right. What you say works!

@bennya No, rebuild both gtkspellmm and gimagereader, that's the solution

bennya commented on 2018-02-03 14:36

Please add "enchant1.6" to the dependencies.

Only it provides "/usr/lib/libenchant.so.1" which is needed for gimagereader to launch.

EDIT: The above is not needed. Rebuild gtkspellmm and then gimagereader.

@Ludde since you add the same problem why don't you made the same solution?

The error cannot open shared library indicates that you need to rebuilt has can be searched in the internet and few comments below

I had the same problem with libenchant.so.1, I used gtkspellmm from the AUR.

gimagereader-gtk: error while loading shared libraries: libenchant.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I can run gimageread-gtk it if I symlink libenchant:

ln -s /usr/lib/libenchant.so.2.1.2 /usr/lib/libenchant.so.1

Fabio: Thank you, now it works. I should had thought to rebuilt gtkspellmm on my own…

FabioLolix commented on 2018-01-01 17:09

@GordonGR I have no issue with a clean built of both gimagereader and gtkspellmm, without enchant1.6 installed

If you still have issue send me your compiled gimagereader and gtkspellmm that I would like to check them

GordonGR commented on 2018-01-01 16:21

No, it's still the same here :S

@GordonGR a rebuild against enchant 2, seems to be enough, I'll push a release bump right now
