Not particulary a reason of this specific version macflav. The culprit is this change in the by Arch provided GIMP package. They removed the Python Plugin, as it still is python2.
Therefore no Heal Selection in GIMP. You need to install for example python2-gimp which is available from the AUR.

Hi, could you please add a provides gimp-plugin-resynthesizer? Thanks

TrialnError commented on 2014-10-10 08:39 (UTC)

@SanskritFritz: Yes, this should be used from now on. And the other package will be merged into this one (hopefully). Request is pending

SanskritFritz commented on 2014-10-09 13:49 (UTC)

Will gimp-resynth-git be deleted? Is this the one we should use from now?

Update to gimp-resynth-git PKGBuild Formally right name, update to the build process (Sed stuff before building it, replace 'any' with architectures, since there is compiled c-code, removing provides line, improved description) Thanks to wget for the suggestions

@wget: Yes, the provides line can be nuked. Didn't even really notice it was there. Normally it is the conflicts/replace combo. Provides is formally false in this case. About the package name and the description. You have a point, so I will most likely follow your suggestions. @Dasonk: It's already included. Maybe you missed the makedepends line?

Dasonk commented on 2014-10-06 00:02 (UTC)

You should add git as a make dependency

Since any conflicting resynthesizer packages have been removed from AUR, maybe it is worth to remove provides=('gimp-resynth' 'gimp-plugin-resynthesizer') from your PKGBUILD? Also, as the official project is named 'resynthesizer', could you rename your package to gimp-plugin-resynthesizer-git? Finally could you put "heal selection" in the package description? This technique is actually the one used by resynthesizer. I thought at first we hadn't such a package for Arch and I realized it was provided upon the name of the rather unknown project "resynthesizer". Thanks.

Cannot reproduce your issue. The filter heal selection is working for me

I found out the answer. I removed this package and installed gimp-resynth-heal-selection. Now everything is fine!
