This package does not build in a clean chroot due to missing pip dependency and is in need of a general cleanup (PEP 517, dependencies, docs, tests).

Fails to build because upstream now requires Sphinx and jaraco, which isn't installed: https://github.com/git-cola/git-cola/commit/cb46673fa4c4b94672598dfce02df9de2a79c36e

Please note that python3 support isn't yet fully working in cola. Please add PYTHON=python2 to make(1) invocations and depend on python2 versions of the packages. There were some fixes here and there but it still doesn't fully work.

Updated to latest git-cola release: Git-Cola run with Python3 now, so some dependencies changed: python-pyqt4 instead of python2-pyqt4, python-sphinx instead of python2-sphinx Other than that, I hope it runs fine with Python3.

'pyinotify' optdep should be changed to 'python2-pyinotify'
