FYI, the latest version does not build with Rust nightly due to a newly discovered soundness issue (see https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/issues/85574), so if you're using rustup, you have to rustup default stable before building.

Thx @lberrymage !

Looks like you're right, actually. I'm just doing a test build, and will push a pkgrel update once it's finished.

Cheers !

@Kr1ss Could you remove llvm and clang from makedepends? Neither of them are necessary for building as cc is presumed to be installed via base-devel and Rust does not use the system's LLVM.

Never mind, thanks for the update. Glad you could sort it out.

I've removed archives with sources and packages and now it's ok. Thanks for help.

Kr1ss commented on 2021-05-28 19:26

@Andew.B thx for the report.

I just tried this on my end, and I can download the source archive without any problem. Even when I click the link in your comment, I'm able to download it via the web browser.

Do you, have a non-default downloader configured in makepkg.conf, by any chance ?

Andrew.B commented on 2021-05-28 19:21

makepkg fails with error

==> ERROR: Failure while downloading https://github.com/dandavison/delta/archive/0.8.0.tar.gz Aborting...

Thx @nickelc ! I'll push an update.

Hi, packaging fails if a custom target dir is set via the CARGO_TARGET_DIR env variable. This patch fixed it for me.

Thank you for the flag @ronjouch !

I'm currently not at my box and don't have the SSH keys with me. I'll probably update tonight.

Cheers, and all of you have a happy 2021 !
