The comments about WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE also can be used as a solution if GitButler crashes instantly on launch. Fixed it for me.
I suggest updating your /usr/share/applications/GitButler.desktop file or making an override in ~/.local/share/applications/GitButler.desktop for your user if this fixes it.
This package should be marked as providing/conflicting with gitbutler
If the GitButler window shows up empty, try to start it as:
WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 gitbutler-tauri

I won't have access to a computer for a few weeks, disowning this package so potentially somebody else can update it. If it's still available when I return I'll reclaim it.
This package should probably be called gitbutler-bin as it only installs the already built deb file.
