Hello, I upgraded this morning to 8.10, but unfortunately GK doesn't start anymore.

From command line, I get this:

~ $ gitkraken
[3349:1011/095138.898492:FATAL:fork_and_spawn.cc(196)] posix_spawn: Permission non accordée (13)
^C^C

I have to kill the process to get the prompt back.

I also tried to run as root, but get another error

~ $ sudo gitkraken
[sudo] Mot de passe de alorence :
[1011/095153.602228:FATAL:electron_main_delegate.cc(291)] Running as root without --no-sandbox is
not supported. See https://crbug.com/638180.
[1] 3438 trace trap sudo gitkraken

In this case, the prompt come back immediately (command returned 133

Do you have any clue on this ?

/opt/gitkraken/gitkraken: error while loading shared libraries: libasound.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Maybe including alsa-lib as a dep. would be good, fixed my issue.

In case anyone else updated glibc and started encountering the "unusable GPU" error, this seems to be fixed in 8.3.0. Until then, passing either "--no-sandbox" or "--in-process-gpu" worked for me. "--no-sandbox" seems to be the recommended way based on issues with Fedora

It seems kwallet does not support org.freedesktop.secrets

Why it can not use kwallet instead of gnome-keyring?

GottZ commented on 2020-04-29 20:15 (UTC) (edited on 2020-04-29 20:23 (UTC) by GottZ)

i just built and installed this without the libgnome-keyring dependency. i successfully managed to connect to github, gitlab, my self hosted gitlab, login to gitkraken and use my ssh key without it.

is there a reason for libgnome-keyring to be inside deps?

if it's just for org.freedesktop.secrets then this might be a good idea: https://www.archlinux.org/todo/gnome-keyring-dependency-replacement-with-orgfreedesktopsecrets/

to give you an example package that was already migrated: https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/chromium/

edit: strange.. i cannot seem to find any new entries in keepass or kwallet
