Switched to ario as the package is not building anymore. Gave up as well.

The package does not build (anymore?) - first, it complains about wrong paths (gmpc-release-11.8.16 vs. gmpc-11.8.16) and if I fix that in the PKGBUILD file, it then complains about a missing configure script (which is correct - the downloaded tarball does not contain one). Generating a configure script via autogen.sh fails on an outdated automake version, then on a missing gnome-doc-prepare. That's when I gave up...

There hasn't been a release for ten years. The last commit in the upstream repository [0] is from February 2020 and the gmpclient.org website seems to be down as well. I've switched the package to use github sources, at least it still builds. Though I've personally switched to Cantata now.
