Hi Zach, could you update pkgver in .SRCINFO as it is causing a mismatch between it and PKGBUILD? .SRCINFO has the version as r456551 and it is building the r544513

Thanks in advance

Yeah, it's a bit of abuse, but gn has a high release frequency and the gn-git package frequently breaks because the bootstrap code isn't up to date. Thanks for taking the time to update the package.

selmf, sorry it took me so long! I couldn't get your script to work as-is, but I've come up with something that yields the same results. (gitiles is weird!) The new version should also make use of the provided sha1 for validation. I feel a little weird abusing pkgver for a binary package, but oh well.

Thanks selmf! I will have a look at this over the weekend.

Here's a little something I have been working on to always get the latest gn-bin version when building this package:

Basically, I have added a way to download the hash directly from google and get the package version from the gn binary itself. No more need for monthly updates with this :)

Thanks! And don't worry, I'll keep you updated about any changes ;)

Rodrigo, glad someone else is interested :) Merged! I'm fine with the monthly thing, but you may need to ping me again -- I'm mostly using CMake right now just because everyone else is, but I still think GN is a great project.

Hi Zach, I've updated the sources on a GitHub repo ->

Ping me if you're interested in merging, maybe we could even update it together montly.
