Compiles without any issues :-) I already had given up for ages and moved to Double Commander. Happy to know patch did the trick and I am back to Gnome Commander Thank you for your efforts, kdre !

I added a patch due to taglib 2.0 incompatibilities. Further, I included the changes proposed by yochananmarqos in the comment below (removing PGP key, diabling libunique, enabling exiv2 and some other small changes).

Compiles fine on my machine. Hope it is working for others as well.

Note: I just saw that someone added the same changes as I did and submitted a merge request (https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-commander/-/merge_requests/48). So probably future versions of gc won't need my patch anymore.

This fails to build in a clean chroot as it's missing dependencies. It also has extra dependencies that are not needed.

This normally would require libunique, not libunique3. However, since it's looking for libunique-1.0 and can't find it, it skips it . It's deprecated anyway, may as well disable the build option.

The tarball is not signed, no idea what you're doing there with the PGP key.

Corrected and improved PKGBUILD (link self-destructs in one year).

Orphaning, I want to get rid of gnome-vfs (and yes, it is needed).

A dependency on gnome-vfs should be included. otherwise gnome-commander will not run with the package default build settings from my experience . .

Even after changing the command to start the terminal on "konsole", it tries to start gnome-terminal when the "Execute" menu is selected in the context.

As a workaround, I uploaded itstool-legacy to AUR. Try that.

I can now confirm your problem, same here.
