@spsf64 Thanks for the hint! Tried it and it works perfect for my needs.

@xiota Thanks for the explanation! At least now I know where the cause of the problem lies.

@xiota, thanks for replying, I am disowning the package, the project seems pretty much abandoned...

@realOtto, sirikali may be a good option:

(https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sirikali or https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/sirikali-bin)

As far as I can tell, the program launches normally, but the main window is hidden. GNOME doesn't provide traditional tray icons anymore, so there's no way to access the GUI.

@spsf64 Thanks for testing. Hope @xiota or someone can help.

@realOtto, thanks for reporting; just tested with gnome, same error :(

Maybe @xiota can help??!

I will flag as out-of date and wait if someone steps in with a solution, otherwise I will disown the package...

It's not starting on Gnome/Wayland, throwing this:

[otto@anna ~]$ gnome-encfs-manager Using Classic TrayIcon

(gnome-encfs-manager:370717): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 02:50:11.233: gtk_widget_get_scale_factor: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

Does someone else have this problem or does even someone know how to solve it?

Thanks in advance

@xiota @renatocan @emilio-r, I just updated the sources direct to launchpad/ubuntu. Not the best option, but it seems to work fine... Please check and let me know.

I'm also getting problems due to the source not available issue...
