The gstreamer0.10 is now ported to AUR, so gnome-gmail-notifier should build.

It seems arch has dropped gstreamer0.10 from their repos. It means that this package won't build anymore unless someone port gstreamer0.10 to AUR.

The proper URL is: https://storage.googleapis.com/google-code-archive-downloads/v2/code.google.com/gnome-gmail-notifier/${pkgname}-${pkgver}.tar.bz2

The source link is still broken, you need to change the .tar.bz2 file to the .zip provided in the new Upstream URL.

I'll adopt this and update, but I don't believe it'll allow sign-ins due to not meeting modern security requirements

The links here will work: https://code.google.com/archive/p/gnome-gmail-notifier/downloads I've also forked it to add my tweaks, here: https://github.com/MightyPork/gnome-gmail-notifier

The domain we're fetching this from is expired, so the tar is likely some trash from the placeholder page. Need other mirror

gnome-gmail-notifier-0.10.1.tar.bz2 did not pass md5sum validity.

The package build process is now fixed.

Using a PKGBUILD without a package().... package() { cd "${srcdir}/${pkgname}-${pkgver}" make DESTDIR="${pkgdir}" install || return 1 }
