It works well.

max.bra commented on 2016-08-06 08:27

@j1simon
please, can you use this (http://pastebin.com/cqvTywE6) gnomegmail.py and tell me if something is wrong?

max.bra commented on 2016-08-05 07:07

I did the opposite: switched to spanish locale and boom!
indeed, simonbcn too use en_ES.UTF-8
this evening i will see if we can patch the issue.

max.bra commented on 2016-08-04 21:38

!?!?
if you default your locale to en_US.UTF-8 and reboot, somethings change?

j1simon commented on 2016-08-04 17:19

Yes, it fails too with urxvt.

max.bra commented on 2016-08-04 07:42

since is all working here:
please, can you try with rxvt-unicode?

j1simon commented on 2016-08-03 19:46

I've tried with Terminator, Terminix and tty console. It fails always.

max.bra commented on 2016-08-03 18:12

> It only fails when I execute it from console.
Oh!! Interesting. your terminal?

j1simon commented on 2016-08-03 17:07

$ cat /etc/locale.conf
LANG=es_ES.UTF-8
LC_COLLATE=C

Every link I try to open fails, for example: gnome-gmail mailto:alexis.jaksone+ifastestgmail@gmail.com

It only fails when I execute it from console.

max.bra commented on 2016-08-03 08:04

your /etc/locale.conf?

can you post the link that generate your error?

j1simon commented on 2016-08-02 11:03

@max.bra https://github.com/davesteele/gnome-gmail/issues/29

$ grep "^[^#]" /etc/locale.gen
es_ES.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
en_US ISO-8859-1
es_ES ISO-8859-1
es_ES@euro ISO-8859-15

hi j1simon,
gnome-gmail has been recently and officialy ported to python 3, and it's working here.

can you please copy-paste result of this:
grep "^[^#]" /etc/locale.gen

j1simon commented on 2016-08-01 16:15

It fails with python3:

$ gnome-gmail mailto:alexis.jaksone+ifastestgmail@gmail.com

If I change the launcher to: python2 /usr/share/gnome-gmail/gnomegmail.py "$@"
it works well.

done. thanks for advice.

gnome-python-desktop brings in a lot of unnecessary dependencies. Installing python2-gconf, python2-gobject2, python-gnomekeyring and dbus-python are sufficient.

max.bra commented on 2011-12-28 18:51

gnome-python bindings are still at 2.32.x version.
really no problem, install it safely

cbowman57 commented on 2011-12-28 16:12

I'm a little hesitant to try this, it seems to want to install a lot of gnome 2.32 dependencies.

Is this ok to run as-is on Gnome 3?

max.bra commented on 2011-11-21 09:37

where and when do you get that error?

xyproto commented on 2011-11-21 09:30

I get:
dbus.exceptions.DBusException: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.Notifications was not provided by any .service files
Is there a dependency I need to install (or run) to make it work? Thanks.

max.bra commented on 2011-05-20 06:38

gnome 3 update

max.bra commented on 2010-12-08 15:01

yes, you are right!
updated.

Anonymous comment on 2010-12-08 12:12

I think it's missing a build dependence on intltool...

Liquen commented on 2010-10-22 20:54

Go for it, mate!

max.bra commented on 2010-10-22 19:22

if you want i can adopt it. i've a pkgbuild ready for version 1.7

Liquen commented on 2010-10-19 18:19

Upgraded after Python 2 vs 3 stuff.

Liquen commented on 2010-04-19 19:36

I get it. A simple "make prefix=$pkgdir install" does the job. I readopted it.

Liquen commented on 2010-04-07 13:14

I can't mantain this package anymore. Could someone adopt it? By the way, version 1.5.1 is out.
