For the next person who wants to file a deletion request, here are my arguments for why I think this package is useful:
If you just install a group once, new packages that get added to it later will not automatically be pulled in. The meta package ensures you always have the full group installed. Additionally, once packages are removed from the group, they automatically become orphans and easy to clean up, whereas if you install the group directly, all packages are marked as explicitly installed.
