For the next person who wants to file a deletion request, here are my arguments for why I think this package is useful:

If you just install a group once, new packages that get added to it later will not automatically be pulled in. The meta package ensures you always have the full group installed. Additionally, once packages are removed from the group, they automatically become orphans and easy to clean up, whereas if you install the group directly, all packages are marked as explicitly installed.

And the second argument: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/any/plasma-meta.

I noticed that even though this package has been updated to gnome 46, there is some apps that should be removed for gnome 46 and some that should be added. I have attached a PKGBUILD diff below

Thanks for doing this! My only complaint is the lack of a gnome-extra-meta

I used to maintain gnome-extra-meta, but it got deleted and I didn't bother getting it back up since I don't really use it myself.

Anyway, here you go: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gnome-extra-meta :)

Oh, good catch. Should be fixed now.

It looks like the GNOME 44 update forgot to adjust the version in the .SRCINFO. @arctize, could you bump that version as well if you have some time on your hands? I missed the 44 update because of this.

Thanks for getting this back up @arctize & @serebit!

simple-scan was moved to gnome-extra on April 9 and should probably be removed from the meta group.
