@garynych I have the same issue and it started happening with this commit:

I don't know yet if the issue is an upstream bug. At the moment I don't see any related issue on github. If you want to keep using v0.14 you can build the package from the previous commit by appending #commit=b4999ffd795b8030904e7c664e24885daad9e7c7 to the source url.

The install line was already as you wrote. Maybe you thought of the 'gnome-mpv' package instead of this one ?

By the way, I had to add another small fix for the package to build. Also the pkgver function returns v0.6 instead of v0.7, but it is actually more up to date than v0.7.
