I hope that in the next version of gnome, the bug was solved and it respect the configuration of the xorg.d. However, if not, I'll try to do a new one.

Great patch, this solves the issues I had with my portege z30-a. Backlight is now also adjustable after hibernation/sleep, it works as good as it did after kernel 3.17 and prior to the upgrade to gnome 3.16. Thanks!

I tested it on my Toshiba and the backlight works properly. No regressions discovered for the time being.
