Hey @arash12ir, I added clipboard-indicator as a conflicting package. Also updated to v25 and opened and issue to ask the author to use github releases so I can get notified when a new version is available.

Aftermath commented on 2023-04-14 19:16 (UTC)

I also have to say, I think the latest version is 25 so this package is out of date?

Following the previous comment;

The other package is following developer's versioning number, which is actually out of ordinary.

Also, as @bbhtt mentioned, this package has to conflict with the "gnome-shell-extension-gnome-clipboard-indicator" package, they cannot be installed together.

There are two package by a similar name providing a same software!

https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gnome-shell-extension-clipboard-history

But their dependencies are a little bit different.

EDIT:

The duplicated package by the address of: https://aur.archlinux.org/pkgbase/gnome-shell-extension-gnome-clipboard-history/ has been removed.

This package(and its -git variant) should add a conflicts to https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gnome-shell-extension-clipboard-indicator (and its -git variant) because both cannot be installed at the same time:

@bttger please don't flag the package out of date if there isn't a new version available. The correct version is the one reported from gnome extensions app (also in metadata.json). The author should follow the versioning used by gnome extensions website. You can create an issue on the project github if it bothers you that much.

Why have you changed the epoch? Pacman tells me now that gnome-shell-extension-clipboard-history: local (1:21-1) is newer than AUR (22-1).

And what is the reason behind diverging from the upstream versioning? In my opinion it would make more sense to follow the upstream release versions.
