Just wanted to say many thanks for getting this into AUR with the workaround for Gnome 40 ASAP. Really appreciate this pragmatic approach!

I saw this was marked as out of date as it refs this commit:

Looks like the only difference between that and latest is Czech language string translations, so if you care about that, the latest should be

I just realized that on Gnome 3.36, the menus for extensions is only accessible through the Extensions App. So, the usual Gnome Tweaks route does not seem to be working anymore

cruzpach commented on 2020-04-26 17:39

I can activate the extension, but when I click on the menu button to change its settings, it does nothing. Any one of you having the same issue?

My build is failing because of the 1171.patch checksum. Seems like it should be 5397bfff32aaec2e935a07741e749c5b9b999429d0a71e3caf9d5cc9e5137d10

the issues with gnome 3.36 should be fixed now

@Thornholt, this is an upstream issue

I'll update the PKGBUILD as soon as it will be fixed,

as temporary workaround you can enable the panel mode

I'm having the following issue with the latest update:

When the dash is put on the right or left side, some extra spacing appears before the icons, making the app menu hidden underneath...

Please not I have the scroll option on OFF

EDIT: Found the issue was I didn't select an option in the "Show the dock on" scroll down menu. Although I had the show on all monitors option checked.

EDIT 2: Issue still there.. but is "fixed" depending on the size I put the icons at. Also depends on the number of icons (active windows + favorites + garbage can)

@sl13kp, I don't think that the tool present in gnome 3.36 works in the same way as dash to dock. Dash to dock moves the dash out of the overview transforming it in a dock for an easier launching of applications and a faster switching between windows and desktops.

If you are ok with the gnome dash then you are right, this package is useless for you

sl13kp commented on 2020-03-10 12:01

Okay, but why install a useless package because it is already present in gnome 3.36?
