For the pkgver function, git describe doesn't works on shallow clones. You can inspire you from oh-my-zsh-git that uses a command that works even on shallow clones. The best would be to shallow clone with the prepare function, as we don't need advanced git features like cherry picking or whatever.

I don't think so. Some users might want to use this git version because they're using the next version of gnome shell, e.g.

I suppose this should follow the gnome-41 branch instead? Also the upstreaam url should be updated to https://github.com/GSConnect/gnome-shell-extension-gsconnect

@optlink, this needs to be fixed upstream. To solve the conflict, remove the meson.add_install_script() part from the meson.build and use makepkg -R
