This was a Gnome extension to enable tray icons. When Gnome 45 was released, a major rewrite was needed to keep this extension working. The suggestion is to migrate to a better maintained project, such as gnome-shell-extension-appindicator.

I've changed the source github repo. It may be necessary to remove the old package as root to avoid duplicated extensions:

rm -rf /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/tray-icons@zhangkaizhao.com/

@malacology Thanks for your help! I've just updated the project with those commands and added them to a script in order to run them from now on.
