Advanced search still doesn't work for me for some reason... :(
Btw, the zeitgeist extension has been updated and moved to git. As tobiasquinn wrote earlier, he has added an up-to-date PKGBUILD (with all the necessary dependencies) recently, so maybe you wonna leave the field to him? No need for unnecessary redundancies, imo.

But there does not seem to be such an option for zeitgeist-daemon.
"zeitgeist-daemon: error: no such option: --restart"

Ok, I contacted the developer, and if you run
zeitgeist-daemon --restart
followed by
gnome-shell --restart
the extension works perfectly.
You can put the first command in one of the init files I guess. I'll ask at the forums who's fault it is.

There has to be a bug in the code of this package. When it is active, the activities search screen is broken. You can only search for devices and contacts and not for apps and files anymore.
Since I don't know the author of the package, I can't notify him.
