The problem is the link in the package. If you look into the downloaded file, you'll se that its not a firmwarfile but some html. If you change the link into the link to the raw file:

https://github.com/jolicloud/linux-firmware/raw/master/gobi/UQCN.mbn

then its ok.

Yes. This file is constantly changing. Perhaps this link is the development version.

Added UQCN.mbn for HP un2420 (maybe, for lenovo too), but amss.mbn and apps.mbn for un2400 (my modem). Test it, pls.
Removed any other firmware.

its for the gobi-firmware.zip package

unfortunately the UQCN.mbn file is missing in sp48568.exe

can someone upload gobi-firmware.zip ?
