Could we perhaps use a version string that's more descriptive here (and can distinguish between two commits made on the same day)? Perhaps: pkgver() { cd "${pkgname%-git}" git describe --long --tags | sed -e 's/$[^-]*-g$/r\1/;s/-/./g' -e 's/^v//' }
