This bug has been long fixed, ignore this comment.

I have updated the package to beta 7, but some users have been running into an issue with the 64-bit version where Godot instantly crashes with the error message "illegal hardware instruction".

There is already an open Github issue, and the bug will be fixed in beta 8: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/26243

For now, I recommend either using the 32-bit version of beta 7, or downgrading to beta 6. If you use an AUR helper, the beta 6 package may be cached, but if not, the following commands will check out and install the beta 6 PKGBUILD:

$ git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/godot-beta-bin.git $ cd godot-beta-bin $ git checkout bc600f24cecd $ makepkg -si

Will be updating to beta 6 tomorrow.
