Please note that Epic has delisted Unreal on GOG.

This package works with the GOG installer (I don't know if it works with other versions), and applies OldUnreal's patch.

It provides /usr/bin/gog-unreal-tournament-goty (originally ut-bin) for playing and /usr/bin/gog-unreal-tournament-goty-ucc (originally ucc-bin) for dedicated servers/etc.

@zbe SDL_VIDEODRIVER=x11 ...

zbe commented on 2025-06-21 10:19 (UTC)

@duffydack, I see. Tested it on x11 and it works, but that's not a solution. It worked in wayland before.

duffydack commented on 2025-06-21 10:04 (UTC)

@zbe it does dump when in wayland session. switching to x11 works

@duffydack plasma-x11-session doesn't make a difference. Still getting the same coredump. Will test it on a laptop before and after 6.4 update.

@zbe: did you install plasma-x11-session ?

duffydack commented on 2025-06-19 12:38 (UTC)

@zbe: works ok here.

zbe commented on 2025-06-19 11:29 (UTC)

Can anyone test this with Plasma 6.4? I'm getting a coredump.

Thanks I've updated .desktop file accordingly.

Regarding permissions they're being set as 777 due to this https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gog-unreal-tournament-goty?O=10#comment-774471

I'm not sure what "fix game saves" refers to, I'll try looking into it and see if I can set more restrictive permissions.
