Just a heads up for new or uninformed users, git packages don't go out of date due to new releases. The latest commits are always pulled each time you build. Either build manually or use an AUR helper with proper VCS support (like yay) in order to update.

Out of date flag should only be used if something is broken.

@smilligan93 thanks! Issue persist installing the package right now... Will wait a bit more.

PD: Maybe you can delete /usr/share/lintian, it seems for Debian package manager only.

@figue,
Looks to be an issue with the latest commit. A bug was put it on github about it so hopefully we'll see an update today.

figue commented on 2016-03-13 10:21

It gives me this error on start:

Uncaught Exception:
TypeError: Cannot read property '0' of null
at /usr/share/google-play-music-desktop-player/resources/app/build/index.js:97:19
at Array.forEach (native)
at EventEmitter.<anonymous> (/usr/share/google-play-music-desktop-player/resources/app/build/index.js:96:39)
at emitOne (events.js:82:20)
at EventEmitter.emit (events.js:169:7)

Do you know what happens?

Update to 3.0.1 and fix the desktop category.

Will get around to renaming eventually.

aouellette commented on 2016-03-11 15:01

Could you change the category in the .desktop file from Utilities to Multimedia? It makes much more sense to put a music player in the Multimedia category.

I second going with gpmdp, although it'd be confusing if the author doesn't rename it as well -- could just make it a bit *more* puzzling?

Yes, I highly recommend the name gpmdp as Google won't come knocking later on. :) Awesome work, loving this app.

@pd5rm: Weird, use Pulse and didn't have this issue.

Also, update for some cool features like native window decoration toggle and back/forward functionality.

Edit: Also (again), how does everyone feel about shortening the name to gpmdp? The dev did it in some of the options menus and @inanimate asked about it. Opinions?

pd5rm commented on 2016-03-09 01:11

I'm not sure why, but audio was muted for me in the Pulse audio sink. I was able to unmute that and works fine.

I filed a ticket upstream, but this could be a distro issue maybe.

@inanimate I am on Intel HD Graphics 4000. Don't need the gpu flag.
