The aur package gpu-screen-recorder-git was renamed to gpu-screen-recorder. Install gpu-screen-recorder instead or you may experience issues.

Is there anyway of saving the settings (quality, screen, audio, save location, etc) between restarts of the program? Currently I'm having to manually set up everything again between each individual start.

Hi,

Currently this is not a '-git' VCS package.

Please change it so that its source is declared as git+https://repo.dec05eba.com/gpu-screen-recorder-gtk.git,

and the PKGBUILD should implement an appropriate pkgver() function.

Thank you, the updated package indeed works on Plasma.

Error occurs immediately upon invoking gpu-screen-recorder-gtk. This error was originally reported on an old installation - when reinstalled using Xfce4 as the default DE, it works. But I just installed/switched over to Plasma and the gtk frontend is broken the same exact way.

The CLI gpu-screen-recorder works fine though.

when does that error occur? are you using a compositor such as picom? what window manager/desktop environment are you using? also give https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gpu-screen-recorder-git/ a try directly instead

Unfortunately does not work on my setup: (gpu-screen-recorder-gtk:1079886): Gdk-WARNING **: 16:09:51.246: The program 'gpu-screen-recorder-gtk' received an X Window System error. This probably reflects a bug in the program. The error was 'BadAccess (attempt to access private resource denied)'. (Details: serial 174 error_code 10 request_code 33 (core protocol) minor_code 0) (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously; that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it. To debug your program, run it with the GDK_SYNCHRONIZE environment variable to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
