@xyem try using the geeqie-git package, that slowness bug had to do with GTK stuff and I've noticed it's fixed now.

I still use this because geeqie is *slow*. Using the sort manager to move files, geeqie takes between 2-5 seconds between clicking the category and showing the next image. gqview is *instant*.

Old and unmaintained; better use geeqie from [extra] instead.
