Please note that 32-bit ARM support (armv6 and armv7) has been temporarily disabled upstream: https://grafana.com/blog/2023/09/29/grafana-and-grafana-enterprise-updates-for-armv6-and-armv7-will-be-temporarily-paused/

I don't use 32-bit ARM personally. If you do, please pin your version and do not upgrade to v10.2. If 32-bit ARM support is resumed upstream, please mark the package as outdated to notify me and I will add it back.

@phesch Thanks. I have included your fix.

I forgot to mention a breaking change when I flagged the package: Grafana now uses a third binary just called grafana on startup and fails if that binary isn't available. I was able to include it in the package with

install -Dm755 bin/grafana "$pkgdir/usr/bin/grafana"

like the other binaries.

@wzyboy fixed in 9.1.0-2, now working again

@pohl7589 I just did a big merge with community/grafana. This package should now work. Thanks for reporting the bug.

I upgraded grafana-bin (aarch64) and now grafana doesn't start anymore:

Grafana-server Init Failed: Could not find config defaults, make sure homepath command line parameter is set or working directory is homepath

I tried various combinations of -config and -homepath arguments. The systemd override ReadWritePaths=/usr/share/grafana from @bret also does not work for me. I guess this is related to the upgrade from the previous version.

EDIT: I downgraded to 9.0.4-2 and grafana works again. Looks like this is an upstream issue.

Also I had to make the following modifications to the service fie due to the ProtectSystem=full flag and also the changed location of the config file.

[Service]
ReadWritePaths=/usr/share/grafana
ExecStart=
ExecStart=/usr/bin/grafana-server --config=/etc/grafana/grafana.ini

Additionally, 9.1.0 is available.

Getting the following error:

 -> error making: grafana-bin

Any ideas?

@bin The service file comes from community/grafana https://github.com/archlinux/svntogit-community/blob/packages/grafana/trunk/grafana.service

Is is possible to define the plugin directory in the config file?

bin commented on 2022-08-04 19:51 (UTC)

This is currently broken due to the ProtectSystem=full setting. It causes /usr to be mounted as read-only, so Grafana cannot modify the /usr/share/grafana directory. Such modifications are necessary to install plugins.
